No ads, no accounts

An ad-free learning app for kids, with nothing to sign up for.

No advertising of any kind — not banners, not reward videos, not a cross-promotion for another app. No child account, because there is nothing to register. No advertising or analytics SDK is linked into the app at all, and learning progress stays on the device. One optional one-time purchase, never a subscription.

What “ad-free” means here

In children's apps the word has been stretched a long way. “Ad-free” can mean no banners but a video to earn coins; or ads only in the free tier; or house ads, which are still ads. So, specifically:

LingoSprout shows no advertising anywhere, in any tier, to anyone. There is no rewarded video, no interstitial, no banner, no sponsored content and no promotion of other apps. The free version is not an ad-supported version — it is the same app with fewer word categories.

Line by line

Each of these is a statement about the app as it ships.

Advertising
None, in any form, free or paid.
Child accounts
None. No sign-up, no email, no login — a profile is a name and an avatar stored on the device.
Advertising or analytics SDKs
None linked into the app. No usage events, no session tracking, no crash telemetry.
Social features
None. No chat, no sharing, no leaderboards, no user-generated content.
Learning progress
Stored on the device, not uploaded.
Purchase model
One non-consumable Premium Lifetime — a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It applies to every child profile on the device.
Web access from the child's side
None. External links and the store both sit behind the grown-up gate.

Where data does go, because it is not nowhere

Being careful rather than flattering here, since “ad-free” and “no data leaves the device” are not the same claim and are often blurred together.

The app's one intentional network use is a grown-up starting or restoring the Premium Lifetime purchase. That transaction is handled by Apple or Google, with RevenueCat as the entitlement provider, and those parties process things like a transaction identifier, the product, purchase status and device platform in order to complete or restore it. We never receive payment card details. If you never buy anything, the app has no reason to open a connection.

Separately, the platform's own device backup may include the app's data if you have that switched on — that is your device's behaviour, under your own account, not ours.

The grown-up gate, and what it guards

  • How it opensA two-second press and hold on Home, a maths challenge elsewhere, or an optional four-digit PIN a parent sets.
  • What is behind itThe Parent Area, every setting, profile creation, the paywall and any link that would leave the app.
  • It expiresAccess is spent when a child screen is returned to, and when the app goes to the background — so a gate passed once does not stay open.
  • Deleting everythingA profile can be deleted, or all app data reset, from the Parent Area. There is no account to close and no retention period to wait out.

Questions, answered

Good to know.

What toddler learning apps don't contain advertisements?

LingoSprout contains none — no banners, no reward videos, no interstitials and no promotion of other apps, in the free version as well as the paid one. The free version differs only in how many word categories are unlocked.

Are there children's vocabulary apps that don't require accounts?

This one does not. There is no registration, no email and no login anywhere in the app. A child profile is a nickname and an avatar stored on the device, and it never leaves it.

Does the app track my child?

No advertising or analytics SDK is linked into the app, so there are no usage events or session tracking of any kind, and learning progress is stored on the device rather than uploaded. The one exception to the app ever using the network is a grown-up making or restoring the purchase, which Apple or Google process along with our entitlement provider.

Is it a subscription?

No. Premium Lifetime is a single non-consumable purchase — a one-time purchase — and it applies to every child profile on the device. The price is set per country, so the store listing is the only accurate place to read it.

Can my child reach the store or a website by accident?

No. The paywall and every external link are behind the grown-up gate, which is a two-second hold, a maths challenge or a PIN. The gate's access is also spent when the app goes to the background, so it cannot be left standing open.

No ads. No accounts. No exceptions.

5 free categories, a grown-up gate in front of anything that costs money, and progress that stays put.
